Raymond Bordenave, born and raised in Los Angeles, CA has been a DJ since 1982, primarily playing R&B, hip hop, and rap music at numerous venues; from clubs to private events throughout California. It wasn’t until the early 90s that he was introduced to house music by one of the first Los Angeles house DJs and good friends, Terence Toy. He was fascinated by how the music made him feel; it was like no other music that he had heard before, he was immediately hooked and found a new passion for DJing - he wanted to share this new music called house with others. House music quickly became his preferred music to spin. 

Playing quality music while introducing new music, with interesting and creative seamless transitions is his focus when DJing for a live audience or a recorded mix. “I spend countless hours researching music, scouring various digital music platforms, collaborating with other DJs, and listening to DJ mixes; always looking for ways to improve my craft.” 

While, Deep, Soulful, and Afro house are his preferred genres, he enjoys all types of music genres. His mixes consist of various types of tracks that you won’t always find on digital music store's top ten list; using a variety of mixing techniques during his sets; he takes you on a journey. As in life, the ebbs and flows are what he tries to create when he’s behind the decks.  It’s for the love of the music that he DJs and the hope that he can convey a message and connect with the audience on the dancefloor - creating a vibe while taking them on a journey where no words are needed. “DJing is an outlet, a way to express a part of who I am that I can share with others.” “I don’t classify the music style I play; it’s eclectic, it's unique, it's contagious, it’s  H O U S E  M U S I C!" 

Some of RB’s favorite DJs and influencers are Black Coffee, Osunlade, Manoo, and Culoe De Song.
